Canada’s Atlantic Business Magazine rankings are in, and Major Drilling President and CEO, Denis Larocque, is listed among Top 50 CEOs in the region. The awards recognize leaders for their corporate growth, commitment to the community and ability to navigate challenges.
Addressing challenges, especially during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, is an achievement Larocque acknowledges.
“It is a great honor to be among this year’s Top 50 CEOs,” he said. “Despite some setbacks in 2020, it is an exciting year for us with our 40th anniversary, and I look forward to what’s next as we continue to be leaders in the mining industry globally.”
Denis Larocque, Major Drilling President and CEO, accepts his Top 50 CEO award at the Major Drilling headquarters in Moncton, News Brunswick, Canada, during the Atlantic Business Magazine virtual awards ceremony held September 15, 2020.
The ABM Top 50 CEO awards ceremony was held virtually on Sept. 15, 2020, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Since their launch in 1998, the awards recognize the need for excellent leaders in the Atlantic Canada region in good times and in bad. Larocque’s recognition is in the category of a for-profit company with 251 or more employees. In the case of Major Drilling, those employees are distributed worldwide.
“While we are headquartered in Atlantic Canada, we have a great group of people worldwide making us successful and innovative,” he said.
