On March 5, 2019, Major Drilling re-signed an agreement with Nuvumiut Developments Inc., owned and operated by the Inuit Landholding Corporations of Salluit and Kangirsujuaq in Nunavik, Canada. The agreement continues the work of securing economic development opportunities for the Inuit communities and sanctions Major Drilling’s operations there. Since 1996, Major Nuvumiut has worked in the area with Raglan Mine, a Glencore Company, and has agreements to operate at additional sites in the vast Nunavik territory.
“We are honored to continue our relationship with Nuvumiut Developments in Nunavik,” said Denis Larocque, Major Drilling President and CEO.
